Subject: WH out-of-town pool report #1

Good morning from Palm Beach, Florida, where the temperature is 71 degrees and the skies are overcast.

Pool is in the vans and getting ready to depart for Lake Okeechobee, where POTUS has an afternoon event focused on infrastructure improvements at the Herbert Hoover Dike.

Pool has been warned that internet service at the site may be spotty.

Some background on the dike from the Corps of Engineers website:

Herbert Hoover Dike is a 143-mile earthen dam that surrounds Lake Okeechobee, the heart of the Kissimmee-Okeechobee-Everglades system. The project reduces impacts from flooding as a result of high lake levels for a large area of south Florida.
